So, tour fans and volunteers please mark your calendars for the 2012 tour which will be be a major summer highlight. One new innovation is that each ticket will be valid for either or even both days. Tickets will go on sale in early 2012.

This change will allow you to select which day you wish to visit.You can even spread your visit over both days if you wish. However, each site can only be visited once during your overall tour. We recommend our off island visitors to book their Bed and Breakfast Accommodation and enjoy the whole weekend on our beautiful isle. You can even enjoy a round of golf at our very own Bowen Island golf course.

This is a chance to visit with the owners of these unusual homes and gardens and to share ideas with friends and hosts.

This tour is a “proceed at your own pace” excursion which requires transportation. Car pooling with friends will reduce ferry costs and lessen congestion on Bowen’s rural roads.

The People, Plants and Places team has recommended that the popular tour be presented in alternate years. The two sponsoring organizations, the Bowen Island Historians and the Bowen Island Memorial Garden Society, have agreed, feeling that doing so would be instrumental in maintaining the high quality of the unique island event.
