Variety is the charm of this tour which includes:
Friendly People
Colourful Gardens
Spectacular Views
Interesting Architecture
Woodland Retreats
Bowen Island History
Tour guests will be able to explore eastern, western and southern parts of the island, and visit places that have stories to tell.
Part of your day's fun will be the interaction between guests, hosts and the many volunteers who serve as assistant hosts, ticket takers and traffic guides. Selected sites will also have Master Gardeners available to answer questions. You will be able to visit our 16 Bowen eateries for a delicious selection of tasty lunch items and then eat in or bring your take out or even your own picnic lunch to our beautiful picnic site for a relaxing time of rest and enjoyment and listen to Bowen Musicians.
Also bring your golf clubs because The Bowen Island Golf Club has put on a promotion just for our People Plants and Places (PPP) Tour ticket holders. The golf course will take $5.00 off of your 9 hole green fee when you present your 2012 PPP ticket in the pro shop. You could save $10 on an 18 hole round. This is a great opportunity for those going on the tour to also enjoy a round of golf on our beautiful golf course. The Golf Course allows 7 day advanced booking for guest PPP’ers. You can book your round by calling 604-947-GOLF (4653) but get your tour tickets first.
The Bowen Island Memorial Garden Society and The Bowen Island Historians, Museum and Archives would like to thank all participants of our past tours and we hope to see you on our 2012 tour.
